Your learning data stays on your device

Contexts, meanings, sources, review history, and voice recordings are stored in your browser using IndexedDB. Context Recall Cards has no account system, cloud sync, advertising, or analytics. The app does not upload this learning data.

Microphone access

The browser asks for microphone permission only when you choose to record. Recordings are saved locally. A temporary speak-back attempt is discarded when you leave that practice card. You can deny permission and use every text practice feature.

Exports

When you explicitly export a backup, the downloaded JSON file can contain your sentences, review history, and voice recordings. You control that file. The app asks for confirmation before creating it. Do not share it unless you intend to share those contents.

Purchases

If you buy or restore an unlock, the app sends the license token to the Sociobot billing API to verify it. Checkout is hosted by Sociobot, with Dodo as merchant of record. Their systems process payment and receipt details; this app does not receive card details. A verification result and timestamp are stored locally for up to one day.

Deleting your data

Delete individual contexts from the library. Clearing this site's storage in browser settings deletes all contexts, recordings, history, and the locally stored license. Export a backup first if you want to retain them.
